Admissions

Most inpatients and outpatients will complete their registration at the Patient Access area located in the hospital's ground floor lobby. If the patient was contacted at home and provided all of the necessary information prior to coming to the hospital, he/she can proceed to the Express Desk for immediate sign-in. For patients who are admitted directly to a patient room, a registration representative will complete the admissions process at the patient's bedside using mobile computer technology.

Emergency Department registration staff admit patients to the Emergency Department. If the triage nurse determines that the patient should immediately go to a treatment bed, a registration representative will complete the process at the patient's bedside in the Emergency Department using mobile computer technology.

The Emergency Department waiting room is equipped with wireless Internet access for family members and other visitors.
